Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.
When I tested the S1, it was able to locate the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to drive across thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it was near carpets or rug.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. For this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if required.
The robot is simple to install and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the procedure. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating narrow spaces and climbing stairs without missing a beat. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors However, it tends to leave a thick distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, alter suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.
Despite losing robot vacuum cleaner uk to mop floors, the Q5 has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and choose the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress with their 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested that did not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. It also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently.
